[The video opens on a young boy, maybe twelve or so, digging in the dirt in a park in Goldenrod. He's got on loose pants but no shirt, and his skin is tanned. He's also got messy brown hair, like he's never heard of a hairbrush.]

[He hasn't, they weren't invented yet.]

[He seems intent on what he's doing, other than muttering slightly.]

The ground here is strange... where are my tools? Mother... Father... Abel...

[The camera turns, revealing a very concerned-looking Gardevoir.]

He's been like this all morning. I... I'm fairly sure this is my trainer, but he looks very different. He doesn't recognize me, and it was hard enough to convince him I wasn't a 'demon' and that he should wear pants.

Can... can anyone help me? I'm not sure how to handle this on my own...

'Cause it's...it's cold and sweet and...and it's the only good thing anybody ever made out of milk. Besides cheese. Cheese is okay.

I don't like milk. It's warm.

Why would milk be cold?

'Cause it goes in the fidge...refidger...the...the refrigeridgerator.

It makes stuff cold.

I don't know what that is.

It's a big box that you put food in and it makes it cold. And then you heat it up again by putting it in the mike...the mike-or-wave.

... That sounds like magic.

Nuh-uh. It's elec...electric. But I guess they don't have that when you're from. You can look in your house, I bet you got one.

[He just looks skeptically at Dave.]

None of these things look like my home.

I mean where you wokened up.

Alice knows where it is. And you can get a shirt, too.

[He looks over at Alice, and she nods.]

I can help. That's what I'm here for.

I got one too. But mine's a boy. They're good.

I thought angels didn't have genders.

Maybe not that you can see.

[She's going to need a very long nap after this.]

Wart does. He's a boy. Wart, come say hi.

[Poor Wart looks exhausted when he peers into the camera.]

[He peers at Wart, and then at Alice.]

Oh... that is different...

He's like a knight, but Alice is more like...like a pretty lady. Do you know lots of girls?

... The only woman I know is my mother.

[Alice hesitates and shakes her head in the background. But it's not like Cain knows any better...]

That's cool. I don't have a mom, I was just wonderin'.

[He looks at Alice, confused, but she doesn't seem to be helping, so he looks back at Dave.]
